Diskette image programs are used to send diskettes by using Internet.
This is done by packing the diskette content in a file, (The diskette image),
then sending this diskette image by internet, then writing a diskette with the diskette image content using a specialized program,
or running the diskette image file (ARDI file) if this is a self restorable diskette image.

Diskette Images can be created using Ardi4USB or EMT4WIN under Windows or EMT4PM under OS/2.
EMT4WIN or EMT4PM can create EMT, MIF, DSK, IMG or ARDI files
Ardi4USB creates Self-restorable or non-self-restorable ARDI images

You can also use I2ARDI under Windows or IMG2ARDI under OS/2 to create ARDI files..
 

 
I2ARDI operations:
I2ARDI can be used to create Self-restorable or non-self-restorable images from any of the following:
a EMT diskette image file.
a MIF diskette image file
a DSK compressed diskette image file
a IMG simple diskette image file
a ARDI self-restorable or non-self-restorable ARDI image file of any version.
 

 
Converting Diskette image files or previously generated ARDI files to the last format of ARDI files is very fast and is done in one step.
You can convert any ARDI format (OS/2, DOS or Windows) to Windows ARDI in one step
without the need to read the original diskette, without re-typing your diskette label, message to user or technical data.
To convert an EMTcopy diskette image file to ARDI for Windows:
C:>cd C:\myimages
C:\myimages>IAWDZ AnImage.EMT AnImage.EXE /A /ponewpassw
AnImage.EMT is the original Diskette image file in EMT format
AnImage.EXE is the new ARDI file (self restorable)
/A is the option for Windows Self-restorable ARDI file (/S for non-self-restorable)
/poxxxx is the optional Output file password.
