| The current setting of the Lyon CNSMD is
located north of the District of Vieux
Lyon,
3 Quai Chauveau, in the 9th arrondissement
of Lyon. These historical buildings
originally
sheltered a religious community, the
Couvent
des Dames de Sainte - Élisabeth (17th
century),
and then, after the revolution, they
became
the house of the Ecole Vétérinaire
de Lyon
[2]. The current layout of premises
and buildings
is due to the architect Chabrol (middle
of
the 19th century). Finally, in 1988, they were renovated and expanded to accommodate the Lyon CNSMD. |
